How much do you need?
At the 4 inch depth we recommend for gravel / limestone (2a, 2b, 1b, 3b), one cubic yard covers about 81 square feet. Use 4 inches for a driveway top-up and 6 to 8 inches (compacted in lifts) for a new base. 2A modified compacts tighter than clean stone.
A cubic yard weighs roughly 1.45 tons loose, so we quote both yards and tons — yards tell you how much space it fills, tons tell you what your truck has to carry.
